Andy's Studio
Andy Cavatorta is a Brooklyn-based inventor and artist working with robotics, music, and theater. His work integrates emerging technologies with traditional crafts to discover new ways to create meaning with sound and motion.
He received his MS from the MIT Media Lab. He collaborates with musicians such as Björk, Gotye, Matthew Herbert. And he receives commissions from venues such as MoMA, TED, and The Royal Opera House. And he also works with commercial clients such as Stella Artois and Snapple. His work with Stella Artois is captured brilliantly in this short video.
He lectures internationally. He is a mentor, a tutor, and he occasionally teaches at Cooper Union. You can read more about his collaboration with Björk in this New Yorker piece.
