Here is an overview of the process…
1. Attend an Open House
2. Start your Application
To apply, all applicants will need to have a Ravenna account. If you don’t have a Ravenna account already, you will be creating one by starting you application. Ravenna accommodates multiple children applying to multiple schools with a single account for an entire family. If you have already created a Ravenna account for another school (and/or child), please use that existing Ravenna account and add our school and/or another child.
There is a $50 application fee.

Our birthday cutoff is December 31 of the year the child would be attending our school. By that date, applicants for Kindergarten must be 5 years old.
3. Schedule a Parent Tour
4. Submit Teacher Recommendations
Parents must submit teacher recommendation and transcript request forms through the application portal.
All required supporting documents (teacher recommendations, transcripts) must be submitted by January 24, 2023.
5. Applicant Visit
Typically, all students visit Portfolio as part of the admissions process. A member of our team will reach out to schedule this visit once you have completed all the prior steps of the application process.
6. Deeper Connections
We love to meet with parents one last time to make sure we have answered all your questions and left no stone unturned for you. We recognize this is a big decision and we don’t take it lightly either! We strive to ensure that there is the right fit between family and school so our partnerships with each family are successful and students can shine at Portfolio.
At this step you can also choose to meet 1:1 with a current family. Our families are passionate about our tight community and love connecting with incoming families and sharing their experience with you.
7. Deadlines and Notification Dates
For those families who know that Portfolio is their top choice and are willing to make an early commitment, we offer Early Decision notifications. You would need to submit all your application materials by December 1. If you are interested in Early Decision, please email us at admissions@portfolio-school.com.
